The new version of the software provides Barcode Dynamic Link Libraries for .Net 2.0 to .Net 4.5 frameworks in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments. Barcodes can also be generated in enterprise applications such as Microsoft SQL Server (Reporting Services), Java, Oracle, MFC and Crystal Reports. The Barcode Fonts Encoder, formulas for Microsoft Excel/Word and Barcode Image Generator are also updated and tested with Windows 8 and the latest Microsoft Office 2013 preview. This is to ensure that the generated barcodes will meet the strictest requirements set by the industry in the upcoming Windows 8 OS. The new version also allows standards-compliant barcodes to be created in Windows Store apps. A Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows 8 is provided to ease the task of generating check digits, adding barcode start/stop characters, verifying inputs, and encoding of barcode characters.
